Muntaqa has over 11 years experience in the healthcare sector, including 5 years as the CEO and founding board member of the Private Sector Health Alliance of Nigeria – a platform that mobilizes private sector resources, partnerships and capabilities to improve health outcomes through innovation, market shaping engagements and impact investments.
He led the development of the Nigeria Health Innovation Marketplace (NHIM) – which has incubated over 40 healthcare SMEs and manages over 5 portfolio investments. He previously served as a Senior Technical Adviser to the Minister of Health in Nigeria. Prior to that he worked in Morgan Stanley’s M&A division, specializing in healthcare M&A.
Muntaqa was honoured as a 2016 World Economic Forum Young Global and a 2017 Aspen Spotlight Scholar. He is a Chartered Alternatives Investment Analyst (CAIA).
